CSO Patch

Community Service Officers (CSOs) perform a wide variety of duties in support of the mission of the University Police Department including:

  • Traffic, Parking, and Crowd Control for Special Events
  • Assist Police Officers as needed
  • NightWalk Service
  • Library Security
  • LiveScan Fingerprinting service
  • Counter service for the University Police Department

The NightWalk Service provides escorts between main campus locations to anyone regardless of their affiliation with CSUMB. Escorts will be provided on foot. The service is available Monday through Friday evenings from 5pm to 11:30pm during the fall and spring semesters. During night hours when the NightWalk Service is not operating, contact the county dispatch center at 655-0268.
