October is National Fire Preparedness Month. All month long, the Emergency Management Health & Safety Division of the University Police Department will be performing campus-wide annual building safety assessments in support of the department's emergency preparedness and disaster readiness efforts.

From October 6-12, the National Fire Protection Association will be spreading the word that more fires start in the kitchen than in any other part of the home—and they will help teach people how to keep cooking fires from starting in the first place.Click on the image below for more information.
