The emergency plan for California State University, Monterey Bay, formulated in accordance with state guidelines, is available to guide emergency personnel should a disaster or major emergency occur. CSUMB is committed to providing a safe environment for the campus community. Plans have been developed to guide emergency personnel should a disaster or major emergency occur. An emergency preparedness handbook is being distributed to campus personnel that addresses important subjects such as CPR, evacuation procedures, and critical telephone numbers which may be needed in an emergency. Questions regarding emergency preparedness should be directed to the Business and Support Services department. American Red Cross CPR and first aid instruction may also be arranged through the Emergency Preparedness office.

EMERGENCY PREPARATION RESOURCES:

"What can I do to prepare for an emergency or natural disaster?"

"What should I do if an emergency or natural disaster occurs?"

Now is a great time to ask those questions and take some action to make sure you have the answers and are prepared BEFORE something happens!

It has been said that "Failing to plan is planning to fail." The best thing you can do is take the time to make sure you are prepared for an emergency by having emergency supplies, water, food, and medical supplies on hand. It is also very important to have discussed a pre-determined plan with family members and loved ones as to where you will meet, how you will communicate, and what you will do in the event of an emergency.
